Inspired by The Historic Voyages

Drawing inspiration from the historic voyages of the Norse explorer Leif Erikson, who ventured to North America centuries before Columbus, our latest special edition timepiece pays homage to his exploration. Named after Vinland, the place Leif Erikson discovered, our watch is adorned with art reminiscent of the Urnes style, reflecting the rich heritage and adventurous spirit of those early explorations.

Leifur Eirikson was an Icelandic explorer and son of Erik the Red, the founder of the first Norse settlement in Greenland, left an indelible mark on history. The first known European to set foot on continental North America, Leifur led his crew to establish a settlement in a region he named 'Vínland,' thought to be in today's Newfoundland or the Gulf of St. Lawrence. Born into a family with roots in Norway, Leifur's westward journey culminated in a historic, albeit brief, Viking presence in North America. This era ended, not due to climate or food scarcity, but because of the overwhelming presence of thousands of natives already inhabiting the area.

The Vínland watch, adorned with Urnes-style engravings, is a tribute to this remarkable chapter of exploration and artistry, merging the adventurous spirit of the Icelandic Vikings with the elegance and complexity of Norse artistic tradition.
