Sif N.A.R.T. Protector Edition
The Sif N.A.R.T. Protector displays a splendid face made from Icelandic volcanic ash, set in a stainless steel case with hand engraved Urnes style ornament, Icelandic head letters and the four Protectors of Iceland frame the case. The watch is based on the Sif NART 1948 watch, designed for the Icelandic Coast Guard. It features a surgical grade stainless steel case. Inside is a Swiss mechanical Top Grade movement. Built for clarity, strength, and daily reliability.

Sif NART - Protector
Protector was created to carry Iceland in every detail. The volcanic ash dial has a natural matte texture that reduces glare and reads at a glance in snow, rain, and sea spray. The case is finished with calm brushing and a confident crown. Along the case band our engraver carved flowing Urnes style knotwork. Within the pattern appear the old Icelandic head letters and the four national guardians, tying historic symbolism to a modern tool watch.
The Four Protectors of Iceland
On Iceland’s coat of arms stand four land spirits that safeguard the island. They are the bull, the eagle, the dragon, and the giant. Their story is told in the sagas, where a hostile king sent a wizard to scout Iceland in the shape of a whale. At each quarter of the land he met a guardian spirit and was driven off. These figures came to represent strength, vigilance, and the duty to protect home and people. On Protector they are engraved as a quiet pledge of steadiness when conditions turn rough.

Protector joins your Volcanic Ash Series alongside Frisland Goð Special Edition and Sif Volcano, each with dials made using Icelandic ash and each rooted in a distinct Icelandic story or craft tradition. Frisland Goð carries Höfðaletur and Urnes inspired engraving with Eyjafjallajökull ash. Sif Volcano builds on the Sif North Atlantic Rescue Timer made for the Icelandic Coast Guard and brings the energy of a lava field to the dial. Protector completes the trio with ash dial legibility, Viking artistry, and the four guardians in relief.
